Wanda M. "Charlie" Miller

Wanda Mae “Charlie” Miller, 85, died Sunday, September 11, 2016 at OSU Wexner Medical Center.

She was born January 20, 1931 at her home in Danville, Ohio to the late Harold and Madge (Rife) Stull. Shortly thereafter, her family moved to Columbus where Wanda graduated from Southside High School. She completed beauty school in Columbus and worked as a hair stylist. During this time, one of her customers knew of a fine chap who would be just right for her. His name, Donald Gene “D.G.” Miller whom she married in 1975 and he survives.

Gene’s work took them to various cities throughout Ohio and even into Arizona before settling in Bucyrus just five years ago. They were always on the lookout for a casino as Charlie enjoyed passing time at the slots. She enjoyed doing bead work, creating Christmas ornaments and other creations which served as gifts for friends and family, and she always enjoyed trips to Amish Country.

In addition to D.G., Charlie is survived by one son, Shawn Miller and fiancée, Jenn Cox of Crestline; two grandchildren, Ethan and Ava; as well as three siblings, Martha Livingston, Dorothy Baughn, and Leon (Jeanette) Stull.

A private gathering will be held on a later date. Those wishing to remember Charlie with contributions are asked to make them payable to Shriners Hospitals for Children and give through Wise Funeral Service, 129 W. Warren St., Bucyrus who assisted with her arrangements. Memories are encouraged to be shared on her Tribute Wall.
