Wanda J. Daiber, 95, died peacefully Friday, January 7, 2022 at Carlisle Place.



She was born November 12, 1926 in Brokensword, the youngest of 12 children of the late Harvey and Louisa (Laipply) Candel. She attended Lykens High School for three years and graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1944. Wanda moved to Tiffin where she worked as a secretary for Webster Industries for 37 years, retiring in 1992. She married Lloyd Daiber on August 1, 1992. They were reacquainted after knowing each other as youths through church.



Wanda was a member of Kaler Ave. Church of Christ in Christian Union since her marriage. She loved every chance she got to travel with Lloyd and trips to Amish Country, Hershey, Pa., Swiss Village in Berne, Ind., and Branson, Mo. were especially memorable.



She is survived by several nieces and nephews; stepsons, Gary (Rochelle) Daiber, Rick (Linda) Daiber, son-in-law, Rodney Shumaker, and their families; and caregiver, Heather Conkle.



In addition to her parents and husband, Wanda was preceded in death by 11 siblings and her stepdaughter, Marsha Shumaker.



Friends are asked to gather in Oakwood Cemetery for a graveside funeral on Wednesday, January 12 at 1:00 pm.



Memorial donations can be made payable to The Gideons and given through Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus.
