Vicky Garverick

Vicky Garverick, 62, passed into eternity with Jesus on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Bucyrus Community Hospital after weeks of failing health.



She was born in Columbus on July 17, 1959 to the late Richard and Susan (George) Dailey. She graduated from Gahanna High School and The Ohio State University. Vicky worked in banking and accounting in greater Columbus until she met Ken Garverick of Bucyrus. They were married on August 1, 2009 and enjoyed their home where they were surrounded by nature. She worked for RobotWorx in Marion.



Vicky loved to travel, especially trips to Tennessee and Florida where she could enjoy eating seafood. Vicky knew Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. She and Ken were active members of Gospel Baptist Church where they looked forward to Bible studies and fellowship with their core group. Sunday dinners were a favorite, along with rooting for the Buckeyes and watching Hallmark Channel movies.



Vicky is survived by her husband Ken; son, Tim Dailey; granddaughter, Shaunalyn Stephens; two great grandchildren and one expected; siblings, Tracy Dailey, Robin Rakes, and Cheryl Dailey; in-laws, Dale and Ruth Garverick; brothers and sister-in-law, Dale (Marline) Garverick, Mark (Nichole) Garverick, and Cindy Barton; along with lots of nieces and nephews.



In addition to her parents, Vicky was preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Wanda Garverick.



All services will be held at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus. Family will receive friends on Friday, January 28 from 5-8 pm and the funeral will be on Saturday at 10:30 am with Pastor Steven Hodges officiating. Burial will follow in Whetstone Cemetery.

Memorial contributions to help with Vicky’s medical expenses can be made payable to Ken Garverick and given at the funeral home. The faithful prayers and support of friends and family has been and continues to be appreciated.
