Terri Legge, 76, of Bucyrus, died Thursday, June 11, 2026 at her residence as a result of failing health.
Terri was born on October 12, 1949 in Bucyrus to the late Jack J. and Elizabeth L. (Widman) Peppard and was a 1968 graduate of Col. Crawford High School. She worked for a number of years at Timken as well as cleaning for businesses, including the former Columbia Gas office and Second National Bank. On April 20, 2001, she married James R. Legge and together they spent years crafting and selling Gold Canyon Candles at various festivals and fairs.
Terri could be stubborn at times and never minced words; however, she would do anything for anyone who was nearest her heart. She loved hearing about how her grandchildren were doing and enjoyed spending time with close friends. She liked online shopping, cheering for her OSU Buckeyes and the companionship offered by her cats.
Terri is survived by daughters, Christina (Tim) Fields and Jennifer (Andy) Melick; grandchildren, Caitlyn Hall and Maci Fields; close friends, Sandy Fankhauser and Patti Miller; and brother, David Peppard.
In addition to her parents, Jack and Betty Peppard, Terri was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Legge. Jim was the love of her life and a big part of her left with his passing in 2007.
A graveside service for Terri will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 17 at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Tanyce Addison officiating. If desired, donations may be made payable to the Humane Society Serving Crawford County and will be accepted through Wise Funeral Service. Expressions of sympathy are encouraged to be shared on her guestbook page at www.wisefuneral.com.
