Shane Wisterman

Douglas Shane Wisterman, 35, of Bucyrus, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

He was born March 29, 1988 in Marion but spent his entire life in Bucyrus. Shane attended Bucyrus High School and shortly thereafter was hired as a delivery driver at Baker’s Sports Shack. Shane always worked hard to better the business and because of his strong work ethic, he worked his way up the ladder and currently served as general manager. He considered his fellow employees his second family and had much love for Breck and Connie. Shane was an inspiration to many and will be deeply missed by his work family and loyal customers.

On August 20, 2011, he married Amber Michelle Sinnes and together they have four beautiful girls. Shane worked a lot of hours to provide for his family and when he wasn’t working, he was the “fun parent” who could often be found playing, chasing, and wrestling around with the loves of his life. They shared much laughter and created countless memories.

Shane lived an adventurous life and over the years has picked up a number of bumps and bruises from his skateboarding days as well as from other things he got into. For relaxation, he enjoyed playing guitar as well as video games. Shane had picked up an older Camero that he and friends worked on, and he was never afraid to burn the tires off. 

In addition to his wife, Amber; Shane will be missed by his mom, Barbara (Larry) Miller; four beautiful daughters, Myla, Aerah, Cecelia and Maeve; maternal grandparents, David and Shirley Schieber; father-in-law, Brady (Angela) Sinnes as well as his Baker’s family and several close friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bill and Darlene Wisterman and his mother-in-law, Sheila Roe.

Calling hours for Shane will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday, December 4 at Wise Funeral Service, where his funeral will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday with Pastor Ray LaSalle officiating. Burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
