Robert A. Dunn

Robert Allen Dunn, 90, of rural Bucyrus, died on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at Unger Park Post Acute Care.

He was born on July 6, 1936 in Sumner County, Tennessee to the late H. Evert and B. Earline (Baird) Dunn. Robert was a 1954 graduate of Lykens High School and on July 11, 1955 married Lucille A. Sprau who survives.

Throughout life, Robert maintained a very strong work ethic which is most likely what allowed him to stay as active as he was up until the past two weeks. He worked as a mechanic at various places and also drove truck. He loved tending to their home and property and never turned down the opportunity of helping someone with a project. In fact, Robert was most always the first one on the job and ready to go.

He and Lucille took many trips to Branson, enjoyed watching grandchildren with their activities and loved tending to their garden. They grew all sorts of fruits and vegetables which helped Lucille to prepare many home cooked meals that Robert appreciated, and yet he always left room for dessert.

In addition to Lucille, his wife of 71 years, Robert is survived by sons, Michael (Carol) Dunn, Jeff (Brenda) Dunn and Kevin (Marla) Dunn; daughter-in-law, Cindy Dunn; grandchildren, Todd (Ashley) Dunn, Jeremy (Christy) Dunn, Christopher Dunn, Josiah (Morgan) Dunn and Noah Dunn along with several step grandchildren. Robert is also survived by great-grandchildren and a sister, Mamie Baldinger.

He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Dunn; grandson, Michael Dunn Jr., brothers, Paul and Don Dunn and a sister, Hazel Dunn who died during infancy.
