Marian E. Albright, 102, of Bucyrus, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Carlisle House where she resided for the past ten years.

She was born July 14, 1908 in Whetstone Township to the late Reba (Neff) and Vern Kiess and lived all of her life in Crawford County. Marian was a 1925 graduate of North Robinson High School and a 1930 graduate of Otterbein College. Following graduation she returned to her high school alma mater to teach English and Latin until her marriage in 1936 to the late Paul Albright who preceded her in 1985.

Mrs. Albright was always active at St. Paul Lutheran Church in North Robinson, teaching Sunday school, being active in the Women's Society and holding various church offices.

Returning to North Robinson High School in 1954 was her strong focus until her retirement from Colonel Crawford High School in 1971. Directing the school plays was a big part of Marian's career as well as teaching English and Latin.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Joanne) Seith of Westerville and Mrs. Clarence (Carol) Lauthers of Mansfield; three grandchildren, Steve (Renee) Lauthers, Amy (Marshall) Drake and Jeff (Sue) Seith; four great grandchildren, Blake and Ryan Lauthers and Cameron and Kaitlyn Drake; a niece and nephew and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marjorie Kiess and Dorothy Kiess (Harold) Guinther.

Friends may call from 4 – 7 p.m. Friday, March 11 at Wise Funeral Service with a private burial to be held Saturday morning at Oakwood Cemetery. A public memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday March 12 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in North Robinson with Pastor Wilmer Hallman officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to the church through the funeral home.
