Margaret “Peggy” Jane Sand, 84, of Bucyrus, died unexpectedly March 14, 2022 at Bucyrus Community Hospital.

Peggy was born June 12, 1937 to the late Wayne Young and Margaret Young Seifert in Crawford County. She attended Holy Trinity School and Holmes-Liberty High School where she graduated in 1955. Peggy loved baking. Whether she was baking for family or for the local fair, folks enjoyed her apple dumplings and cherry pies. Peggy enjoyed crocheting with afghan blankets being her favorite projects. She looked forward to the days when she could go to garage sales with her sister, Sally. When her sister Pat would visit from Colorado, Peggy, Sally and Pat loved to visit Amish Country and a trip to Clifton Mill was a fun highlight for them. Peggy was an avid Bingo player and would play any chance she got. She took pride in her garden of flowers with the roses being her favorite. Peggy liked listening to country music.

Peggy is survived by her children, Debra (Dennis) Cleland, Laura Moyer, Tim (Susan) Sand, Rob Sand, and Jeremy (Amy) Sand; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Sally Sipe and Donna “Pat” Sipe.
