Lori Marie Frost

Lori Marie Frost, 65, of Bucyrus, passed peacefully on February 12, 2022 at her home after a long battle with cancer.



She was born October 25, 1956, in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Paul and Frances (Young) Price. Lori graduated from Columbian High School, Tiffin. She married on September 26, 1981 to Jeffrey M. Frost of Bucyrus. She is survived by her loving husband, Jeff, of 40 years; her daughter, Jillian (Austin) Tuttle; and two brothers, Randal (Carolyn) Price of Bloomville and Jamison (Rebecca) Price of Mt. Vernon. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Price Dawson.



After high school, Lori worked with her family in agriculture for nearly 20 years. She continued working at Crawford County Human Services followed by Bucyrus City Schools for another 20 years and retired in 2016. Over the years Lori was a homemaker, devoted mother, and caretaker for family. She was involved with dog obedience training, traveling teas and catered events, First Christian Church, and her craft shop, The Squirrels’ Nest.



Lori always looked forward to working in her gardens each spring and summer, especially with daffodils and lilacs. She enjoyed the outdoors, baking, crafting, reading, and being with family and friends. Lori treasured the moments she got to share with Jillian, especially when they played piano together. Conversations with Lori felt like talking with a best friend — she had the gift of making each person feel heard and valued.



Though no public services will be held, Lori’s family wishes to praise the circle of Lori’s friends and medical team at The James for their care and love shown during her time with them. A celebration of Lori’s life will follow in the spring.



In lieu of flowers, any donations or memorials can be made payable to either the Humane Society Serving Crawford County or Bucyrus Academic Boosters Scholarship Fund. These gifts will be accepted through Wise Funeral Service and friends are encouraged to share any memories on her tribute wall.
