Linda (Beck) Shuck

Linda Sue (Beck) Shuck, 66, died Friday, December 10, 2021 at Altercare of Bucyrus where she had resided for over 10 years with a number of health issues.



She was born in Bucyrus on November 4, 1955. The oldest child of the late Arnulf W. Beck and Margaret A. (Shuck) Beck who survives. Linda was in the marching band and graduated from Wynford High School in 1974. She worked in the billing department of Bucyrus Community Hospital until her health no longer allowed.



Linda is remembered as kindhearted and good to everyone. She loved her family and was “adopted mom” to many. Even as she was in the nursing home the last several years, she would say how she wished she could help people who needed it. Linda loved collecting and looking at lighthouses, knitting, drinking iced tea, and made excellent bread and pizza dough. She attended Bucyrus Nazarene Church and was a good artist who loved to doodle and listen to music.



In addition to her mother, Linda is survived by children, Robert Hoffman and Natalie Hoffman; grandson, Drayden Gimlich; sisters, LuAnn (Greg) Eber and Lenny (Earl) Lamar; brother, Michael Beck (fiancée Rebecca); and a number of nieces and nephews.



All services will be held at Wise Funeral Service where masks are kindly requested. Linda’s family will receive friends on Thursday, December 16 from 4-7 pm and her funeral will be Friday at 10:30 am with Pastor Ray LaSalle officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.



Memorial donations can be made payable to Bucyrus Nazarene Church or a charity of the donor’s choice and given at the funeral home. Memories and photos can be shared on Linda’s Tribute Wall.
