Kevin M. Heath, 62, of Sycamore, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born on December 28, 1963, in Bucyrus, the son of the late Wilson Carl Heath and Joyce Ann (Coble) Dunaway. He married Heidi Austin on May 2, 1992 in Marion, Ohio.
Kevin went to Wynford and Pioneer for auto mechanics. When he was younger, he worked at various junkyards and helped the local farmers. When he got older, he worked for Continental Hose in Upper Sandusky, then Universal in Ontario, and Galion LLC in Galion.
Kevin and Heidi spent countless hours working on maintaining and upgrading their cars. He was Mopar all the way, except for the ’55 Ford he had in high school that held many fun memories. He also loved driving around and looking for more cars or just for pleasure. He loved all of his dogs immensely. When in the house, he was an avid fan of The Young and the Restless, enjoyed cooking, and taught Heidi how to cook. But if he could be outside, you would find him there.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 35 years, Heidi Heath; sisters, Carlene Thurman, Rhonda (Bryan) Cole, and Maryann (David) Tomkins; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Michelle Jackson and stepbrothers, Tommy and Timmy Dunaway.
A private gathering is being held to celebrate Kevin’s life. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are encouraged to make gifts payable to Humane Society Serving Crawford County and give at Wise Funeral Service, 129 W. Warren St., Bucyrus, Ohio 44820.
Memories and photos can be shared in the guestbook of Kevin’s tribute page at www.wisefuneral.com.
