Kenny Cuffman

Kenny Cuffman, 64, died Sunday, July 9, 2023 in his home from complications of lung cancer.

He was born May 13, 1959 in Bucyrus to the late Anna J. (Dauchenbaugh) Cuffman and Thomas R. Cuffman Sr. who survives. Kenny attended Bucyrus Schools and worked various jobs earlier in his life.

He is remembered as a caring man who would help anyone. He took excellent care of his mother when she was ill and really missed her since her death in 2021. He loved to talk about his younger years, especially as he remembered his favorite teachers and friends. Kenny loved his cigarettes and strong coffee. He walked nearly everywhere he needed to go and made a daily walk to Sunoco for his smokes. If someone brought him his favorite sandwich from Wendy’s, it made his day. In years past, he was a shark on the pool table and seldom lost a game. He followed the Buckeyes and Browns, and loved his Cleveland Indians. Kenny also spent a lot of time listening to country music and communicating on his CB with the handle “Moonshiner.”

Kenny is survived by his dad, Tom Cuffman Sr.; siblings, Sandra (Ray) Naveja, Debra Wilson and her husband Howard Ray, Tom Jr. (Joy) Cuffman, Larry Cuffman, and Mark (Cookie) Cuffman; extended family and cousins; and his best friend, Johnny.

Kenny was laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery next to his dear mother.

Kenny’s family appreciates Tom, Joy, and Karen Hensley Hicks for their generosity with his funeral expenses. They also want to thank the Council on Aging, specifically aides Regina and Connie, for faithfully taking care of Kenny. They felt like family, and he was always excited for their visits. Avita Home Health provided excellent service as well.
