K. Sue Dolin

Karolyn Sue Dolin, 76, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Marion General Hospital surrounded by her daughter and granddaughter. Her health had been failing over the past year.

Sue was born in Bucyrus December 8, 1946 to the late James Sloan and Eileen (Brady) Adams and shared her birthday with her father and son-in-law. She graduated from Bucyrus High in 1966, raised her daughter, and worked at K-Mart from its opening until its closing. She then finished her work career at BPT until retiring.

Suzie will be greatly missed by family and her many friends. She was strong-willed and a hard worker. At home, she loved yardwork and tending to her flowers. She also worked on many crafts and painted landscapes and portraits for people. She took joy in goofing off with her two great grandsons, shopping with her granddaughter, and loved her great granddog, Cletus (the Gentle Giant).

Sue is survived by daughter, Michele (Horning) and son-in-law, Bobby Nolen Jr.; granddaughters, Megan Nolen and Tosha Nolen; great grandsons, Koven and Kolten Eldridge; sister, Teresa Krantz; niece, Misty Simco; and nephew, Steve Gatchel.

Though Susie wished for no services to be held, she asked for memorial donations to be made payable to The Humane Society of the Unites States. These gifts can be given through Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus. Memories and photos can be shared on Sue’s Tribute Wall.
