Joe Adams believed that good times spent with good friends will lead to much happiness and up until his unexpected and recent passing, he shared many laughs and created some great memories with those he held close to his heart.
Joe was born December 27, 1969 in Bucyrus, graduating from Bucyrus High School and then earning his associates degree in music/video from the Art Institute of Colorado in 1991. He continued his education at The Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale where he received his bachelor’s degree in management/marketing in 1993. Much of what he learned, he put to good use through his 20 plus years at Lifetouch in Galion.
Joe enjoyed life experiences and those involved casinos, concerts and time spent with close friends. He particularly liked pulling slots when at a casino and though he enjoyed any type of hair band or rock-n-roll music, his favorite band was Kiss, who he proudly watched perform live on many occasions. His favorite drink was a Long Island iced tea drink and what made them even better was when he was able to socialize with others while enjoying one. Joe almost always maintained a calm and cool personality, unless one of his favorite Philadelphia teams was playing and then sometimes his emotions got the best of him. He enjoyed all Philly sports but considered himself to be a die-hard Eagles fan. Some of his favorite hangouts were Bakers, Old 30 and the Moose Lodge.
Joe is survived by an uncle, Jack Adams; close friends, Letty VanScoit and Teresa Adams who he considered sisters as well as many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard W. and Karen (Gadd) Adams; paternal grandparents, Richard W. Sr. and Beatrice (Reeder) Adams; maternal grandmother, Jane Gadd as well as several cousins.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 6-8 pm Wednesday, May 10 at Bakers Sports Shack. Bring some good “Joe stories” to share with others as everyone gathers to remember the good guy that he was. He will be privately laid to rest next to his father in Oakwood Cemetery. Memories and photos are encouraged to be shared on his tribute wall. Cheers to Joe!
