Jeffrey Michael Frost, 71, of Bucyrus, passed peacefully at home on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
He was born August 29, 1954, in Bucyrus, Ohio to the late Jack and Kathleen (Lozier) Frost. Jeffrey graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1972 and Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He married on September 26, 1981 to Lori M. Price at Baseline UCC. They shared 40 loving years together until Lori’s passing in 2022. Jeffrey is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jillian and Austin Tuttle of Bucyrus.
After schooling, Jeff worked for Bucyrus Blades for forty years, retiring in 2015. He enjoyed gardening, yardwork, wood cutting, and everything aviation. He had a brilliant mind for all things mechanical and spent many happy years tinkering in his ‘shop. Even when he wasn’t able to get out, Jeff enjoyed watching hobby-related videos and sharing his knowledge with family and friends. In earlier years, Jeff had been involved in Air Explorers Post #117, Junior Achievement, Sons of the American Legion, and First Christian Church of Bucyrus. He also leaves behind beloved pets, Remi, Chester, Ginny, and his constant companion, Agnes.
Jeff was deeply devoted to his family, never missing any of Jillian’s extracurricular events or piano performances. He had a sharp wit and mischievous sense of humor that he inherited from his father, Jack. Despite significant health issues in later years, Jeff was fueled by his love of family – always working tenaciously in rehab to maintain his independence and come home.
Jeff’s family wish to praise all of the healthcare professionals, especially therapists and aides that have worked with him over the last ten years, for their compassion and encouragement while caring for him.
A memorial service for Jeff will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 20 at Wise Funeral Service, followed by inurnment in the Oakwood Cemetery Columbarium. His family will visit with guests one hour prior to his service.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made payable to either the American Legion Post #181, or Crawford County Council on Aging. These gifts will be accepted through Wise Funeral Service at 129 W. Warren St., Bucyrus, Ohio. Online condolences or memories may be shared at www.wisefuneral.com.
