James Henry 'Jim' Clady

James Henry 'Jim' Clady, 66, of Bucyrus, died Friday, August 20, 2010 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Jim was born in Bucyrus January 13, 1944 to the late Iven C. and Mabel A. (Carpenter) Clady. He was a 1962 graduate of Bucyrus High School and he earned an Associate Degree in Retail Management form North Central Technical College in 1967. He served in the United States Army in the 130th General Hospital Intensive Care Unit as a Medical Corpsman in Germany from 1967-1969. Jim is survived by his step-mother Barbara Clady of Bucyrus; sisters Judith (William) Trader of Bucyrus and Mary Jo Seif of Galion; uncles Ray (Kathy) Carpenter of Kapaa, HI, Richard (Loyce) Carpenter of Bucyrus and Jim Carpenter of Bucyrus; cousin Janet (John) Seif; nieces and nephews Tracy Seif Reitzel of Southport, NC, Jennie (Tom) Haines of Grove City, Darcy (Gary) Barber of Southport, NC, Jeff (Marilyn) Trader of Clayton, NC and Hilary Seif of Westerville; numerous great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by step-sister Deborah Geiger Rust, brother-in-law Mike Seif and cousin Bob Clady. Jim retired in 2006 from Lance, Inc. where he was a route salesman. He was a member of Pentecostal Tabernacle of Oceola, American Legion Post 181 and the National Rifle Association. Jim loved the outdoors. He spent time hunting and walking in his woods. He enjoyed his 20 acre wooded property where he spent time with his dogs. He was very active with his church functions especially the food pantry and fish fry. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Wise Funeral Service at 12 noon. Friends may call from 10 AM until 12 noon. Reverend Carl Angel will officiate the service and a burial of ashes will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Full military honors will be provided by American Legion Post 181. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Pentecostal Tabernacle Food Pantry or the Crawford County Humane Society. Online condolences may be left at www.wisefuneral.com.
