Heidi J. Leonhardt

Heidi J. Leonhardt, 46, of Bucyrus, died unexpectedly, Saturday, October 28, 2023, following a brain aneurysm which occurred earlier this past week. She was a kind and selfless person who will live on through others because she chose to give life as an organ and tissue donor.

Heidi was born October 31, 1976, in Marion to Ralph L. and Deborah A. (May) Kinney who both survive and was a 1995 graduate of Wynford High School. She worked in healthcare for a number of years and was currently employed at TSC in Bucyrus.

Heidi’s family shared much laughter and created countless memories during their time together celebrating birthdays and holidays. She loved gathering with friends to watch the Buckeyes take the field and she was always ready for a bonfire. Heidi loved spoiling her dog, Brutus; getting her nails done and loved relaxing to a good movie, all while dressed in her most comfortable pair of sweatpants and slippers.   

Heidi is survived by her parents, Ralph and Debby; daughter, Taylor Leonhardt; sister, Anndrea Kinney; nephew and nieces, Alex, Isabella and Giuliana; longtime boyfriend, Sean Burke and his daughter, Melody; her best friend, Kelsey as well as extended family and friends.

Memorial calling hours will be held from 11 – 12:55 pm Saturday, November 4 at Wise Funeral Service, where her memorial service will begin at 1:00 pm that day with Pastor Becky Stephens officiating. Inurnment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
