She strove to make a nutritional difference in the lives of students until retiring in the mid-90s. Around this time, they purchased a second home in Naples, Florida, which allowed them the opportunity to golf year-round. The entire family spent many weekends camping, keeping cousins close and creating many memories. Gail had attended the Bucyrus Nazarene Church. She loved being active in the lives of her grandchildren and enjoyed watching their sporting events. She also followed the Indians, Cavs and even the Browns. Gail was involved with Friends of the Library; golfed many rounds at the Bucyrus Country Club and enjoyed socializing with her close friends at the Moose or the Elks. In addition to golfing, Gail enjoyed reading, camping, doing ceramics and her heart was happiest at the beach.

She is survived by four children, Christine (Jerry) Hughes of Aiken, SC, Kelly Smith, Cindy Leitzy and Craig (Holly) Kozinski all of Bucyrus; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and one sister, Connie (Donald) Turner of North Canton.
