Edith D. Rinker, 85, of Bucyrus, died July 20, 2010 at Bucyrus Community Hospital. Edith was born January 16, 1925 in Crawford County to the late Allan D. and Jennie (McPeak) Denzer. She graduated from Mt. Zion High School in 1943. On November 28, 1958 she married Paul A. Rinker who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son Robert E. (Karen) Kottyan of Pittsburgh PA and a daughter Ann R. Hughes of Ottawa, OH; grandchildren Courtney (Matthew) Rubino of Pittsburgh, PA, Allan R. (Fiancée Jennifer Mignone) Kottyan of Timonium, MD, Michael R. (Fiancée Kelsey Kuhlman) Hughes of Cincinnati; Matthew J. Hughes and William D. Hughes both of Ottawa; great granddaughter Melice G. Rubino. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Allan Denzer, Jr. and a sister Clara Belle Denzer. Mrs. Rinker was a lifetime resident of Crawford County and worked in the daily operations at Peoples Savings and Loan for 37 years. During her tenure at Peoples she held the titles of Teller, Head Teller, Treasurer and Vice President. Edith was appointed to the Board of Directors in 1973. In 1987 she retired from the daily operations and continued as a director until December 2005. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, a former Gray Lady, and a volunteer with the American Red Cross Bloodmobile. Friends may call at Wise Funeral Service from 5-7 PM Thursday July 22, 2010 and Friday one hour prior to an 11 AM service with Reverend James Barkenquast officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society through the funeral home.
