Dustin L. Burge, 41, died unexpectedly on Friday, October 15, 2021 at the Bucyrus Community Hospital E.R.



He was born in Marion on October 8, 1980 and raised in Monnett where he loved playing ball, being outdoors, and growing up with his cousins. He graduated from Wynford High School in 1999 and later joined the US Army where he served in the 101st Airborne and fought in Afghanistan. Dustin returned to Crawford County where he worked in construction and for the past several years at the GE/Savant Lamp Plant.



Dustin will be remembered as the guy who would help anyone with anything they needed. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and was an avid hunter. He especially loved his nephew Mason and watching him grow up. Dustin was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Nevada and former member of the Dallas Twp. VFD.



Dustin is survived by brother, Mark Burge (Heidi Crow); nephew, Mason Burge; and several extended family including two cousins he was especially close and grew up with, Kim Hacker and Steven (Angie) Burge. He was preceded in death by his father, Landis Burge.



The Burge family will receive friends on Thursday, October 21 from 4-7 pm at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus where the evening will conclude with military rites by the US Army Honor Guard and Bucyrus Veterans Military Funeral Detail at 7:00 pm.

Memorial donations can be made payable to a charity of the donor’s choice and given through the funeral home. Memories and photos can be shared on Dustin’s Tribute Wall.
