David Burton Williams

David Burton Williams, 52, of Bucyrus died unexpectedly November 26, 2020 in his home after a fall.



David was born January 4, 1968 to the late Jacob and Cheryl (Balyeat) Williams in Fort Riley, Kansas. Growing up his family moved from state to state due to his father’s military service and he attended high school in Colorado. Throughout his life, David held many jobs and worked at TAS-CO in Crestline as a machine operator until he retired. He moved to Bucyrus three and a half years ago in order to spend more time with his grandchildren.



David was a family man who took pride in his daughters and his grandchildren. The family enjoyed many dinners together. He would walk his grandchildren to school while walking his dog, Buddy. He enjoyed spending time with them and telling bad dad jokes. He was either laughing or making others laugh. David was an easygoing person and liked spending time with his friends. He also enjoyed listening to classic rock on iHeart Radio. Led Zeppelin was his favorite band and he always looked forward to “Stairway to Seven” when iHeart Radio would play all Led Zeppelin music after 7 PM.



David will be missed by his two daughters, Stephanie (Jimmy) Byers and Holly Williams; grandchildren, Ashton Williams, Mya Byers, Cayzileh Williams, and Christopher Byers; sisters, Roxanne Steward and Laura Haney; brothers, Mike Williams and Mark (Renee) Williams; and his many nieces and nephews.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Steve Williams and sister, Rhonda Frazier.



A memorial service for David will be held December 12, 2020 at 11 AM at Wise Funeral Service with Mark Dettmer officiating. Memorial contributions can be made payable to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses and sent to 129 W. Warren St., Bucyrus, Ohio 44820.
