David A. Wyatt

David A. Wyatt, 39, of Bucyrus died March 13, 2021, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center after years of declining health.

David was born November 7, 1981 to the late Charles Richard Wyatt and Suzanne Irene (Reed) Rigsby in Bucyrus. He was raised in Marion most of his childhood before moving to Galion. David attended Galion High School and earned his GED. He then spent a year exploring his love of graphic design in college. David worked as an assembler with Transglobal Door in Carey. He also worked in landscaping for some time. David met the love of his life, Courtney Prater, and they got married on April 14, 2005. The two then moved to Bucyrus.

David was known for being a good, caring person. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. They would go fishing, golfing, hiking, and swimming together. He also liked cooking out steaks and ribs. Later in life he took up baking. Rock was David’s favorite music. His hobbies were playing guitar and art. Art was his passion and he could create anything whether it was cartoons or realistic portraits. He could use oil pastels and paint. David also did woodworking and soap carving. He was always wearing the necklace his dad’s friend made him many years ago. David attended Narcotics Anonymous for some time and held a position as the local chair for a year. He was proud of helping instate the Tuesday FEAR Group Face Everything and Recover Meetings for the Narcotics Anonymous in Bucyrus.

David is survived by his wife of 15 years; children Emaleigh Wyatt, Caiden (Tapanga) Parsley, Erika Wyatt, Adam Wyatt, and Temperance Wyatt; grandchildren Ryker Wyatt and Harrison Parsley; siblings Jamie (Amber) Wyatt and Johnathan (Tiffany) Hartley; mother Suzanne Irene Rigsby; stepfather Richard Rigsby; niece Jadianna Prater; nephews Chance Prater, Leyton Prater, and Jeremiah Prater; mother-in-law Heidi Prater; and sister-in-law Cally Prater.
