Connie K. Fahl, 82, died Friday afternoon, July 3, 2026 at Marion General Hospital under the care of her family and Compassus Hospice.
She was born in Galion on July 9, 1943 to the late Roy and Beulah (Cress) Johnson. The youngest of five, Connie grew up throughout Crawford County and graduated from Bucyrus High School. She began seeing Ronald C. Fahl and they were married May 26, 1962. A devoted homemaker, she also worked for Sears & Roebuck, Struble’s, and Kime Lumber.
While Connie enjoyed a few hobbies, including cross-stitch, needle punch, and tending to her flowers, none compared to her devotion to her family. Doting on her grandsons and great grandson brought her the biggest joy in life. She and Ron also did some traveling, and she especially enjoyed the Pigeon Forge area of Tennessee. Connie was a member of and faithfully attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church until her health declined.
Connie is survived by Ron Fahl, her husband of 64 years; daughter, Sheila (Bill) Kennedy; grandson, Orry (Ainslee) Kennedy; great grandson, Brayden Kennedy; and sisters-in-law, Nancy Johnson, Ellen Johnson, and Joan (Jim) Kafer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant sons; grandson, Dane Kennedy; siblings, Bev Clark, Ray Johnson, Sam Johnson, and Joan Burky; and brothers-in-law, Don Clark and Orval Burky.
Services for Connie will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus. Family will receive friends from 10 - 11:55 am and Funeral Liturgy will begin at 12 Noon with Fr. Paul Fahrbach officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are encouraged to be made payable to Holy Trinity Catholic Church and can be given through the funeral home. Memories and photos can be shared at www.wisefuneral.com.
