Bill Beebe

April 16, 1964 — February 14, 2018

Bill Beebe

Bill was set free on February 14th, 2018 to pursue his next adventure. A man who prided himself on never having to wear a suit; Bill marched to the beat of his own drum. His uniform consisted on jeans, a t-shirt and flannel shirt and a trail from his dirty work boots. He could often be seen driving his orange truck with his favorite companion, Ellie the basset hound, hanging out the side slobbering and barking at squirrels and the occasional passerby.

Born April 16, 1964; Bill showed mechanical ability at an early age. He worked at both Ohio Locomotive Crane and E-Crane, setting up, repairing and testing electrical systems and traveled the world putting up cranes. A rare individual who could design, build or repair anything; Bill often snorted in disgust at non-mechanically gifted people and would state “It’s just common sense”.

Known to many at the Bucyrus Farmers Market as Beebe’s Bees, where he sold honey, soap and beeswax candles; Bill could talk for hours about bees and did, often to the dismay of his “I’ve heard this a hundred times before” wife. He was a past president of the Richland Area Beekeepers Association and operated his own beekeepers supply store. He was a true outdoors man; usually found cutting firewood; growing mushrooms or in the woods.

Bill was exceptionally proud of his 1972 Sunny Bus – a VW hand painted hippie bus – and delighted in the looks he received, both good and bad. He excelled in adding his own artistic touches to the bus, keeping with its groovy 70’s theme.

Profoundly missed by his loving wife Kathy and children Emily of Tiffin; Tony of Middleburg Hts., grandchildren Bella and Christopher; sister Wendy of Cleveland and mother Loretta of Brecksville, nephews Nick, Colin, Cody and predeceased by father Burton Beebe.

Visitation hours will be Tuesday February 20th from 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 21st at 1 pm at the Wise Funeral Home. Visitors are encouraged to wear flannel and work boots; dressing up is intently frowned upon.
