Annie M. Kibler

Annie M. Kibler, 91, of Bucyrus, died Friday, January 20, 2012 at Bucyrus Community Hospital.

She was born August 3, 1920 in Chester County, South Carolina to the late John A. and Mary (Haggerty) Strube. Annie graduated from Chester High School in 1938 and then attended business school for one year. On January 12, 1945 she married Joseph C. Kibler, Jr., who preceded her in death on August 18, 1978. She and Joseph moved to Bucyrus in 1946 and she worked for Swan Rubber in the accounts payable office for 22 years before her retirement.

Annie was a member of First Baptist Church where she served as a clerk, served on the Diaconate Board, Pastoral Relations Board and was a former Sunday School teacher. She was also a member of the Love Circle Missionary Society, where she served as treasurer; the Ladies of the 37th division Richard E. Knable Chapter, where she served as President.

Annie believed in "doing the right thing" and being honest. She enjoyed needlework and doing crosswords and she loved communicating with friends and family by sending cards for holidays and other special occasions. But above all, she loved time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Gary (Janet) Kibler of Delaware, Jo Ann (Ozzie) Bastanjoo of Cedar Park, Texas and Pamela (Eric) Denzer of Bucyrus; two grandchildren, Craig (Katie) Kibler of Westerville and Michelle (Daniel) Cooper of Delaware; four great grandchildren, Gabriel Cooper, Anna Cooper, Emmaline Cooper and Coraline Kibler; brother, Robert Strube of Cayce, SC; a niece, Susan (Paul) Szaniszlo of Austin, Texas and a nephew, William (Janice) Strube of Cayce, SC.

In addition to her husband and parents, Annie is preceded in death by two sisters-in-law, Nell Strube and Winifred Twigg and a brother-in-law, Floyd Twigg.

Private funeral services were held Tuesday at Wise Funeral Service with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to a charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home
