Anna Marie Chandler, 84, of Bucyrus, passed away peacefully at home on September 2, 2025, following a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born September 15, 1940, in Bucyrus to the late Lawrence L. and Cleora I. (Tupps) Campbell, Ann was a 1958 graduate of Whetstone High School, where she proudly served as Class Valedictorian.
A strong and business-minded woman, Ann’s career was as dynamic as her spirit. She worked as a secretary for Bucyrus City Schools, ventured into real estate as a licensed broker, and later became a licensed insurance agent with Prudential in Mount Vernon. Her work as a Deferred Compensation Consultant took her across Ohio, Michigan, and Rhode Island, reflecting her passion for helping others plan for their futures.
For the past 40 years, Ann shared her life with her beloved husband, Dean E. Fagan. Together, they operated The Bratworks, a business they ran with pride until its sale several years ago.
Ann loved to travel, enjoying memorable trips to Hawaii, Las Vegas, Europe and on multiple cruises. She cherished time with her sorority sisters, finding joy in their food and fellowship. A woman of faith, she also lovingly built a collection of Angels and Bibles over the years.
She is survived by her husband, Dean; her children, Deb (Larry) Fisher, Michael (Karen) Chandler, and Kay (Ryan) Whitmeyer; stepchildren, Mike Fagan and Marty (Chris) Fagan; grandchildren, Jessica (Tiger) Aljaafary, Wesley (Maggie) Fisher, Whitney (Jeremy) Maloney, Nick (Jessa) Looker, Danielle Looker, Owen Whitmeyer, Zoe Whitmeyer, Crystal Chandler, Zach (Kaylie) Chandler, Shannon (Joe) Arter, Miranda (Ben) Johnson, Matt (Mindy) Fagan, Meredith (Allen) Stoll, and Marcus (Caitlin) Fagan; 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and her twin brother, Calvin (Ruthann) Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her grandsons, Drew Fisher and Aaron Chandler, and stepdaughter-in-law, Melodie Fagan.
Ann’s life will be celebrated privately by her family, and she will be laid to rest in Campbell Cemetery on Monday September 8th.
