Randy L. Eidson

Randall Lee Eidson, 63, of Bucyrus, died Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Bucyrus Community Hospital following recent health issues.

He was born April 29, 1955 in Bucyrus to the late Austin “Buster” and Lillian “Tootsie” (Clark) Eidson. Randy graduated from Bucyrus High School. After graduation he spent some time working with his dad at Ohio Locomotive Crane before having a 25-year career with Time Warner Cable, where expanded the service to remote areas. Following this, Randy spent several years in Texas as a telecommunication contractor. Around this time, his mother’s health was failing, and Randy took it upon himself to return home to provide her the loving care needed.

Randy had a love for family and fishing. Being a do-it-yourself type, he built a dingy boat from scratch which provided the family years of enjoyment. He had a passion for the Tiama-Mato martial art earning his black belt and starting a school where he taught many students self-defense and sportsmanship. He will be remembered for making many people laugh and smile as he stood behind the mic of “Krazy Randy’s Karaoke,” encouraging others to sing their favorite songs at local bowling alleys and restaurants. In fact, this is where he met his companion, Liz Simpson, whom has allowed him to truly smile and enjoy life again for the past year.

Randy is survived by six children, Kelli Stahl, Shad Eidson, David Stahl, Brandon (Dreama) Eidson, Jacob Eidson and Destini (John) Chaffins; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Tina Eidson as well as many extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by two brothers, David and LeRoy Eidson.

His family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Friday, October 5 at Wise Funeral Service, where his funeral will be held at 10:30 am Saturday with Celebrant Mark Dettmer officiating.

Randy was always a giving person, and even in death he still believed in helping others as a tissue donor. Therefore, it would be fitting that in lieu of flowers, if gifts were given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital charity to support the lives of others in need. These gifts will be accepted through the funeral home.
