Marjorie M. Noblit, 88, of Bucyrus died Monday evening, May 25, 2015 at Bucyrus Community Hospital following several weeks of illness.

She was born September 20, 1926 in Chatfield, the only child of the late Arthur and Igerna (Harrer) Zucker. Marjorie graduated from Attica High School in 1944 and began working at New Washington Egg Auction where she met her sweetheart, Richard L. Noblit. They were married October 14, 1945 in Nazareth Lutheran Church and he preceded her in death April 4, 2011.

Marjorie was a homemaker and helped on the family farm before they moved to town and she worked as a Cup Inspector for The Timken Co. until her retirement in May 1989. She was a faithful member of Good Hope Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir. Marjorie also volunteered countless hours, along with Richard, for the American Red Cross where she registered blood donors. She enjoyed music and will be remembered as a great cook.

Marjorie is survived by her sons, Gary Noblit of Bucyrus and Jerry (Judy) Noblit of Bucyrus; four grandchildren, Pastor Rodney (Erin) Noblit of Crestline, Rhonda (Scott) McLaughlin of Tampa, Florida, Ryan (Rebecca) Noblit of Centerburg and Megan Noblit of Columbus; great grandchildren, Julia, Jacquelyn, Brock, Jocelyn, Bryce, Mikayla, Jacob, Emma, Daniel, Laura, Luke, Timothy, Carson and Kolton along with one expected in September.

In addition to her parents and husband of over 65 years, Marjorie was preceded in death by her infant son, James Frederick Noblit; grandson, Randy Noblit; and daughter-in-law, Sandra Noblit.

The Noblit family will receive friends Thursday, May 28 from 4-7 p.m. at Good Hope Lutheran Church, 129 W. Charles St. in Bucyrus where her funeral will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Bliss officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to the Good Hope Radio or Steeple Funds or the Crawford County Red Cross through Wise Funeral Service, 129 W. Warren St., Bucyrus. Expressions of sympathy may be shared in the Memorial Guestbook below.
