Kathleen Blankenship (Paige Parker)

Kathleen V. Blankenship, 50, of Bucyrus died Friday morning, November 30, 2018 at her home. She was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2017 and recently came under the care of Kindred Hospice.

Also known as Paige Parker, she was born in Crestline on February 19, 1968 to the late Richard E. Ruth and Virginia L. (McIntyre) Ruth who many knew as Jackie Dalton. She went to Wynford Schools and studied nursing before caring for her family as a homemaker. She lived in Virginia for 20 years and returned to Crawford County in 2008.

Paige enjoyed quilting, crocheting, planting flowers, and taking care of everyone. She was an avid football fan, following the Packers, Browns, and Ohio State and she will be remembered for her great cooking, especially her lasagna and Dutch apple pie. Her greatest joy was being with her children and grandchildren.

Paige is survived by five children, Justin (Sarah) Beecham, Brandy Dye (fiancé, Brandon Brown), Jesse Dye, Christopher Dye, and Laura Ruth; eight grandchildren, Mackenzie Dye, Tanner Dye, Skyler Fields, Ethan Fisher, Lilly Fisher, Macayla Brown, Braylen Brown, and Nariah Brown; two siblings, Jodie Knodell and Jason (Beth) Ruth; and her precious pooch, Ryley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Dye and her husband and true love, Kenneth Blankenship.

Although no formal services are being held, memorial gifts to offset final expenses would be appreciated and may be given at Wise Funeral Service, 129 W. Warren St., Bucyrus. Memories and photos can be shared on her Tribute Wall.
