Joseph S. Locker

Joe Locker, 53, of Bucyrus, died Sunday, October 16, 2016 at his residence where he was surrounded by those he loved.



Joe was born August 27, 1963 in Bucyrus to Allen Ray and Joyce (Amons) Locker. His dad recently preceded him in death and his mom survives in Bucyrus. From a young age, his father taught him the value of hard work through introducing him to drywall. He mastered this trade, working with his dad and brothers until his recent battle with cancer no longer allowed him to do so.



In 1987 he married Terrie L. Strother and they’ve enjoyed raising four children and just living life. In the past Joe enjoyed golfing but spending time with family and working on cars gave him the most enjoyment in life. He was also an avid fan of OSU and Dallas Cowboys football.



In addition to his mom, Joe is survived by Terrie, his wife of 29 years; four children, Brittany Locker, Joey Locker, Matt Locker and Zach Locker and three siblings, Vickey (Mark) Stump, Ray Locker, Jr. and Tony (Sara) Locker as well as numerous nieces and nephews.



Friends are invited to gather with family for light meal and a time of reflection from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18th at their home, 115 Emerson St. in Bucyrus. Also, there will be a benefit held Saturday, October 22 at Old 30 BBQ in Bucyrus, consisting of a 4-person golf scramble at 10 a.m. followed by an evening of entertainment from 4-7 and Joe’s favorite team, the OSU Buckeyes will be shown on a projection TV beginning at 8 and his family encourages all to attend and share in a toast to Joe.



Cremation services were handled by the staff of Wise Funeral Service.
