Audrey Vititoe

Audrey Joann Vititoe, 74, of Bucyrus died peacefully Friday, January 23, 2015 at Heartland of Bucyrus.

She was born June 9, 1940 in Rome Twp., Lawrence County, Ohio and raised by her mom, the late Maxine (Wade) White and stepdad, William White who survives. She grew up working for various farmers and moved to Bucyrus in the early 1970s. She did odd jobs and cared for those who needed her, raising children, cleaning houses and caring for the elderly. Known to many as “Nanny,” she enjoyed living a simple life and used to talk over the radio with the Lucky 40 CB Club.

In addition to her stepfather, Audrey is survived by children, Lora Gatchel and Rodney Cornell; grandchildren, Cody Gatchel, James Gatchel and Rodney Wesley Cornell; sister, Wanda Riley and brother, Carl Cornell.

Friends may call on Sunday, January 25 from 1-3 p.m. at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus where her funeral will be held on Monday at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
