Arleta M. Stevenson

Arleta Stevenson, 82, of Bucyrus, died Monday, November 7, 2016 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus following chronic health issues.



The oldest of nine, Arleta was born September 5, 1934 in Crawford County to the late Paul and Lulu (Bantzhaff) Leuthold and was a 1952 graduate of Lykens High School.



She spent over 30 years at Timken before God led her to an administrative position for 25 years at Epworth United Methodist Church where she was already actively involved and sang with the church choir for many years. Upon the merger of three churches, Arleta continued her duties with Bucyrus UMC until her retirement this past September 5. Arleta served on the United Methodist Conference Committee of Archives and History. She loved her church family and will be remembered for her incredible hugs, words of encouragement, and caring attitude. She enjoyed traveling with family over the years, dining out and socializing with friends, and she dabbled in photography. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Organization.



Arleta is survived by a daughter, Julia F. (Robert) Dreyfoos of Kirkland, Washington; stepdaughter, Kathy (Tom) Wolf; grandchildren, Travis Dreyfoos and Aron Dreyfoos; step grandchildren, Todd Rothenberger, Cara (John) Bowers, Kristy (Tim) Keller, and Penney (Randy) Baldwin; siblings, William “Bill” Leuthold, James “Jim” Leuthold, Paul Everett Leuthold, Gerald (Trish) Leuthold, Dwight (Sandi) Leuthold, Wayne (Ruth) Leuthold, Doug (Dianne) Leuthold, and Christine Warren; step son-in-law, Steve Rahmel; as well as many nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Karen Rahmel and a step grandson, Stevie Rahmel.



Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 11 at Wise Funeral Service. Her funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Bucyrus UMC with Pastors Mike Corwin and Becky Smithey officiating. Burial will follow in Lust Cemetery, Chatfield.
