Debbie E. Wilson

Debbie Wilson, 58, died Thursday, May 4, 2017 at OSU Wexner Medical Center following recent health issues.



She was born November 14, 1958 in Bucyrus to the late Delmar “Willie” and Lucille “Lucy” (Dewiel) Wilson. Debbie grew up in rural New Washington and graduated from Buckeye Central in 1977.



She will be remembered as a loving babysitter and a gifted seamstress who put her talents to use while working at Central Monogramming and was responsible for sewing many doll outfits and other creations for family and friends. Debbie also worked at The Herald Printing Co. and was an active member of Bucyrus UMC; involving herself anyway possible. Debbie played clarinet with the New Washington City Band and enjoyed time spent with fellow members of the New Washington Garden Club. She loved gathering with family, especially when hosting their annual Halloween party. Debbie had a caring heart and, whether family or friend, you were always greeted with a warm smile.



She is survived by two aunts, Florence Cooper and Shirley Hehr; several cousins; her church family; and her four “fur babies” who offered her comfort and companionship. Debbie was preceded in death by numerous aunts and uncles.



Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Monday, May 8 at Wise Funeral Service where her funeral will begin that day at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Becky Smithey officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.



Memorial contributions may be given to Bucyrus UMC, Humane Society Serving Crawford County, or directly to the funeral home to assist with expenses. Memories are encouraged to be shared by visiting her Tribute Wall.
