Ann M. Metzger

Ann Marie Metzger, 102, died quietly Monday, June 5, 2017 in her residence at Orchard Park Assisted living in Bucyrus.



She was born October 9, 1914 in Cleveland to the late Abdo and Hessna Dagher. She attended school in Cleveland and was proud to have earned her diploma from Bucyrus Schools at the age of 90. In 1948, she made her way to Bucyrus with her family. Ann married William G. Metzger on November 27, 1952 and he preceded her in death in 1979.



Ann owned and operated businesses with her brothers including the Motel Ledo in Toledo and Freddie’s Restaurant in Bucyrus. After retirement, she enjoyed visiting The Y and socializing with her friends. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.



Ann is survived by her son, Bill (Deborah) Metzger and sister, Helen Kirk, both of Bucyrus along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Fred and Joseph Dagher and sister, Vicki Shiekh.



A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 8 at 1:00 pm in Oakwood Cemetery with Deacon Jerry Gubernath officiating.



Memorial donations are encouraged to the Humane Society Service Crawford County or Homecare Matters Hospice and given at Wise Funeral Service, 129 W. Warren St. in Bucyrus. Memories and photos can be shared on her Tribute Wall.
