Lena
Lucille Harris Turner, 76, died unexpectedly at Riverside Methodist
Hospital Saturday, February 20.
Mrs. Turner
was born March 3, 1933 in Rutland to the late Luther and Blanche
(Nelson) Harris. She was a 1951 graduate of Rutland High School
and on January 19, 1951 was married to Bobbie Joe Turner who preceded
her in death in 2007.
Mrs. Turner
is survived by her children, Mike Turner of Bucyrus, Debbie Grasley
of Bucyrus, Sandi (Ted) Coder of New Washington, and Gary (Connie)
Turner of Bucyrus; grandchildren, Travis Grasley, Jacen Turner,
Carrie Turner, Christopher Fawley, Kasey Coder, and Cheyenne Turner,
three great grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Jean Linn of Bloomville;
and a twin brother, Lindy Harris of Shelby.
In addition
to her parents and husband, Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by
a brother, Paul Leonard Harris.
Mrs. Turner
was an active member of First Alliance Church. She greatly enjoyed
her friends, especially those of the Forest Hills Court neighborhood
where she and her husband spent most of their lives. She was a loving
mother and grandmother, as well as a devoted wife. She and her husband
enjoyed antiquing together. She was employed by Bucyrus City schools
as a crossing guard and by Fairway School as a bus driver.
Friends may
call Tuesday, February 23 from Noon-2 p.m. at First Alliance Church
in Bucyrus where a service will be held at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bill
Strader officiating. A private interment of ashes will take place
at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made through the
Wise Funeral Service to First Alliance Church.
