C. Jeanne Tanner,
69, of Crestline, died Monday, March 1 at The O.S.U. Medical Center
in Columbus following a brief illness.
She was born
October 28, 1940 in Bucyrus to the late Henry and Helen (Holmes)
Grau. Jeanne was a 1958 graduate of Holmes Liberty High School and
on June 21, 1959 she married Charles W. Tanner who survives.
Jeanne spent
25 years working for Richland County Children Services and later
worked at Catherine's in Ontario for a few years. Recently, she
joined the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Bucyrus and previously
had been a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Jeanne enjoyed
staying at their timeshare in Port Clinton and also traveling in
general. She liked playing games, but her greatest joy was spending
time with her grandchildren.
In addition
to her husband of 50 years, Jeanne is survived by two daughters,
Kimberlee Baumgardner and husband Tony of Virginia Beach and Kelli
Robbins and husband Leslie of Lexington and two grandchildren, Christian
Baumgardner and David Robbins. She is preceded in death by a brother
who died during infancy.
Friends may
call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 4 at Wise Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Bucyrus
Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Marcellus de Oliveria and
Pastor Edward Marton officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood
Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Charles Tanner and
given through the funeral home.
