Kurt R. Roberts,
49, of Tampa, Florida and formerly of Benton, died at St. Joseph's
Hospital in Tampa on Thursday, December 10 with family by his side
following a courageous battle with an extended illness. He never
gave up on living through all his pain and suffering until God chose
to take him home.
He was born
July 23, 1960 in Washington Court House to the late Fred and Barbara
Roberts. Kurt graduated from Wynford High School and worked at various
jobs in the area but lastly at Donnelly's prior to moving to Florida.
He is survived
by six brothers, Paul Roberts (Frances) of Long Island, Jack Roberts
of Atlanta, David Roberts and Fred Roberts, both of Lakeland, Fla.,
Bob Roberts (Jill) of New Washington, Steve Roberts (Connie) of
Oceola; five sisters, Gwen McGrath of Atlanta, Kathleen (Jeff) Johnston
of Dallas, Patty Halm of Wadsworth, Denise (Mike) Lloyd of Benton,
and Annette (Mike) Sherman; aunts and uncles, Don (Janice) Roberts
of Findlay, Jim (Janet) Roberts of Toledo, Roger (Nancy) Lessig
of Vanlue, Margaret Cook of Findlay and Dory Roberts of Canton;
along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
In addition
to his parents, Kurt is preceded in death by a brother, Jon Roberts;
three uncles, Paul, John, Ralph; and an aunt, Mary Lou.
Since given
his diagnosis in 1991, Kurt lived through his faith in God and self
healing. He outlasted his prognosis and he will certainly be missed
by his family.
His wishes were
to be cremated and a memorial service is being planned and will
be announced at later date.
In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be given to the Kurt Roberts Memorial
Fund through Wise Funeral Service.
