James L. Miller,
72, of Bucyrus, passed away Saturday, December 26.
Mr. Miller was
born at his home in Nevada on August 22, 1937 to the late Lester
and Marie (Warner) Miller. He graduated from Mt. Vernon Seventh
Day Adventist Academy.
Mr. Miller is
survived by his wife, Joyce D. Miller; two sons and daughters-in-law,
Edward (Becky) Miller of Bucyrus and Mike (Laura) Miller of Sycamore;
four stepchildren, Tony (Claudette) Durham of Bucyrus, Tom (Vicki)
Durham of Nevada, Jackie (Doug) Stuckert of Bucyrus, and Tammy (David)
Mooney of Nevada; brother Merle Miller of Nevada; five grandchildren;
eight step grandchildren, one great grandchild; and eight step great
grandchildren.
In addition
to his parents, Mr. Miller was preceded in death by a son, Steven
Miller and a sister, Romona Fralick.
Mr. Miller was
a welder for Marion Power Shovel and Buckeye Machine in Forest.
Most recently, he worked in Upper Sandusky at Fairborn Industries.
He was a member of the Nevada Masonic Lodge and attended the Church
of God in Oceola. Mr. Miller dearly enjoyed playing bluegrass music
and often volunteered to play at nursing homes. He enjoyed the outdoors
and mushroom hunting.
A memorial service
will be held Wednesday, December 30 at 11 a.m. at the Church of
God in Oceola with Pastor Carl Angel officiating. A Masonic Service
will immediately follow at the church. A committal of ashes will
be held at 2 p.m. at Nevada Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made through Wise Funeral Service to the Crawford
County Food Bank.
