She was born January 31, 1934 in Bellevue to the late Ward and Geneva (McHenry) Light. Barbara was a 1951 graduate of Bucyrus High School and worked at Second National Bank upon graduation. She moved to Kettering and took courses in accounting to further her career. She is survived by three brothers, Bill Light of Bucyrus, Ed Light and wife Ilene of Bucyrus and Louis Light and wife Mary of North Ridgeville; one sister, Jennifer (Light) Sweigard and husband Larry of Upper Sandusky; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Light of Bucyrus and Rosie Light of Palm Coast, Florida.

Barb was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Walter Light; a sister-in-law, Jeannine Light; and her canine companion of 19 years, "Duke."

Barb loved spending time with family and her multitude of friends and neighbors. She enjoyed traveling and watching and attending sporting events, especially her New York teams. She will certainly be missed by many.

Her family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 24 at Wise Funeral Service, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Bradley Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Contributions may be made to First Christian Church or the American Heart Association through the funeral home.
