Harlan Wayne
Groves, 70, of Nevada, died December 26 at Mansfield MedCentral
after an extended illness.
Harlan was born
November 26, 1939 in Crawford County to the late James and Viola
Jewel (Kirkam) Groves. He graduated from North Robinson High School
in 1957 and was married to Shirley Ann Walter on March 31, 1961.
Harlan served in the United States Army for three years stationed
in Korea.
In addition
to his wife of 48 years, Harlan is survived by his daughters and
sons-in-law, Tammy and Joe Stansbery of Upper Sandusky, Wanda and
Ty Long of Bucyrus, Wendy and John Williams of Ontario, and Teresa
and Rick Brunty of Wharton; grandchildren, Kendra and Kelsie Long,
Kelli and Nichole Williams, Marie, Maranda, and Maddison Stansbery,
Brett and Bridget Fox, and Tara Brunty; brothers, Alton Groves and
Fred (Darlene) Groves; and sister, Peggy (Russell) Ruth. He was
preceded in death by a brother, Merle Groves.
Harlan retired
from AM Multigraphics after 29 years as a field service technician.
He attended First Alliance Church in Bucyrus and was a life member
of AMVETS Post 777 in Upper Sandusky. He was a Green Bay Packers
fan since 1957 and also enjoyed NASCAR, football, The Ohio State
Buckeyes, and was very proud of his country.
Friends may
call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Wise Funeral Service where
a funeral will be held Wednesday, December 30 at 2 p.m. with Pastor
William Strader officiating. Burial will follow at Nevada Cemetery
with military honors provided by American Legion Post 181.

may be made through the funeral home to the First Alliance Church.
