Marinda (Plymale)
Craigo, 89, of Bucyrus, died Thursday, November 26 at Heartland
of Bucyrus.
She was born
May 14, 1920 in McComas, West Virginia to the late Andrew and Clercie
(Queen) Nelson. She attended school at Buffalo Schools in West Virginia
and on January 20, 1939 she married Harold S. Plymale who preceded
her in death on December 4, 1954. On May 19, 1979 she married Raymond
A. Craigo and he preceded her in death on December 7, 2007.
Marinda worked
as a seamstress for most of her life. She sewed and modeled for
the Rose Marie Bathing Suit Co. She also worked for Corbin Manufacturing,
Lazarus and JC Penney.
Marinda is survived
by a son Richard L. Plymale and his wife, Beverly Sue, of Bucyrus;
three grandchildren, Kindar Miller and husband Roger of Bucyrus,
Joseph A. Plymale of Dallas, Texas and Lee K. Plymale and wife Erin
of Bucyrus; six great grandchildren, Abby, Aden and Alec Miller
and Elizabeth, Hannah and Levi Plymale; two brothers, Lewis Nelson
and Berman Nelson and wife Mary, both of Huntington, West Virginia,
in addition to many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded
in death by four sisters, Arvilla Roberson, Ida Carroll, Cora Walters
and Northa Walters and two brothers, Steve Nelson and Richard Nelson.
She was a member
of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed using her gift of sewing to
help others.
Friends may
call from 5-8 p.m. Monday, November 30 at Wise Funeral Service where
funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Ken
Lance officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial
contributions may be given to the Calvary Baptist Church Foyer Fund
through the funeral home.
