She was born June 27, 1926 in Marion. Clara was a 1944 graduate of Bucyrus High School and on September 29, 1946 she married Wayne E. Brause who survives. Clara worked at Bucyrus City Bank, Jay's Toggery, AAA and lastly the Selective Service for the U.S. Government before retiring. She kept busy as a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church; Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 3 where she served as Past Matron; and Glory Circle of King's Daughters and Sons. In addition to her husband of 63 years, Clara is survived by three children, Cynthia Eusey and husband Stan, Ed Brause and wife Kathy, both of Bucyrus, and James Brause and wife Deborah of Charlotte, North Carolina; three grandsons, Jesse Brause and Seth Brause, both of Charlotte, and Brandon Brause and wife Raeann of Bucyrus along with one great grandson, Brock Brause. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Ida (Keiter) Schillinger. Clara was a devoted, loving wife and mother to her family and will be deeply missed. Funeral service for Clara will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 30 at Wise Funeral Service with Pastor Wilmer Hallman officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. No public calling hours will be held. Memorial contributions may be given to Order of Eastern Star or Good Hope Lutheran Church through the funeral home. |
